Howards End (E. M. Forster)

One of my all-time favorite books. I read it after A Room With a View, which imo is also phenomenal, but very different (you know I will always love a good romance). The scene where Helen listens to Beethoven is one of my favorite pieces of writing of all time, just such a feat of art and character work and imagination. I made @Jessie listen to me read it out loud once. The whole thing is miraculous and sad and hopeful and human. Must reread, must read more Forster.
