Wearing Birkenstocks with the stupidest socks you own

@Steven Weill already recced socks with sandals, and I co-sign, but I want to be very specific here. There is nothing more freeing in this weird unpredictable NYC weather than wearing my Birkenstocks to the grocery store with the stupidest socks I can find. I am partial to these ones my mom got me that say “who rescued who” and are VERY clearly for dog owners (there are bones). There’s something about it that feels like that thing in the 2010s where people were going to school in pajama pants.
